Legal Coordinator (m/f/d)

Verantwortlichkeiten & Qualifikationen

What awaits you:

 

As Legal Coordinator in the Novelis Europe legal department, you will be responsible for all systems and processes of the European legal department, manage various internal and organizational compliance matters and act as main contact partner to various business stakeholders in this regard and support the European Legal Team in different legal, contract management and compliance matters. You will report directly to the Regional General Counsel with the following responsibilities:

  • You manage processes and systems for different support areas of legal work, such as internal reporting, signature collection, contract management, document filing and retention, information exchange with other functions, budget control and overview
  • You will be responsible for delegation of authority, credit agreements, document retention, dispute reporting, internal and external audits, export compliance and corporate secretarial work; act as main contact partner for different business functions (Sales, Procurement, Finance, global Legal team) in these areas, by advising on questions, support workflows and stage trainings.
  • You manage the administration and legal operations for Europe, including document retention and filing in accordance with retention policies and standards.
  • You coordinate Europe’s portion of the global contract management database
  • You oversee our invoicing and billing processes, and you are in charge of insurance management
  • You will conduct internal trainings with respect to legal, regulatory and contractual aspects (together with colleagues from the European Legal Team)
  • You support the Euopean Legal Team on daily requests, such as translation of policies, drafting of contracts and preparation of presentations, legal research and clarifications

 

How you convince us:

  • You have a commercial education (Kaufmännische Ausbildung) or a graduate degree in law (BLaw or similar)
  • You bring 2-3 years of work experience in an office, e.g. as executive assistant in a law firm
  • You have basic knowledge or interest and willingness to understand and learn legal and regulatory basics, principles
  • You are fluent in English and German – knowledge of French is a plus
  • You have excellent computer skills (MS Office products), automatization tools are a plus
  • You bring strong project management and organizational skills with the motivation to independently approach, implement and drive forward diverse topics
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, international working environment with strong attention to detail
