Regional Sourcing Lead for Direct Materials including Specialty Coatings (m/f/d)

What awaits you:

• Manage and secure supply chain of Direct Materials for the European plant operations without any interruption and with special focus on Coatings as critical materials.
• Manage strong and closed relationship with suppliers, external and internal stakeholders, and business partners. Foster strategic long-term relationship through negotiations with key suppliers, single or sole source suppliers. Develop multiple sources according the Novelis needs and market opportunities.
• Monitor, review and analyze market developments and develop the right procurement and negotiation strategy for Novelis accordingly.
• Deliver lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), through definition and execution of Pipeline and Value Savings.
• Working effectively across functions to execute operational and process optimization in collaboration with external and external business partners, customers and suppliers applying professional project management skills.
• Deliver excellence in Procurement Commercial Execution ensuring adherence to Procurement and Company Policies, establishing commercial discipline, effectively executing the contract authorization processes.
• Deliver Continuous Improvement through innovation applying continuous improvement methodologies and driving procurement projects.
• Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for the categories in scope based on a rigorous analysis of spend value, draft the respective plan working across functional teams to ensure support and gain commitment, lead implementation and execute RFX processes according to the defined strategy, review and adjust strategy as needed.
• Represent and Live the Novelis cultural values.
• Follow, support and execute the Novelis Europe Strategy, Global and Regional Procurement Strategy with special focus on Sustainability.

How you convince us:

• Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar
• 3-5 years sourcing experience in manufacturing, coatings knowledge or manufacturing experience with coatings & paint, understanding of the qualification and application process are beneficial
• High energy, openness and willingness to learn in a fast changing business and market environment by taking, overcome and solve possible challenges.
• Communication skills and motivation to work as part of an international team with different cultures and in a global matrix organization
• Strong analytical skills, ability to collect and analyze data
• Problem solving ability, collect all necessary information, organize a team to work on and solve problems, manage to get buy-in from decision makers
• Motivation and drive to work across functions, to strive for qualification of new products, product innovations
• Initial management skills to manage internal and external relationship stakeholder, business partner and team members of the own organization
• German, English are necessary, Italian, and French are a plus

Das mitteldeutsche Werk Göttingen ist ein wichtiger europäischer Standort für die Produktion von Getränkedosenvormaterial und oberflächenveredeltem Aluminium für viele attraktive Märkte und beschäftigt rund 700 Mitarbeitende. Es ist spezialisiert auf die Oberflächenbehandlung von Aluminiumbandware und beherbergt ein Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum das sich vor allem mit der Untersuchung und Entwicklung von Oberflächenbeschichtungen und der Simulation der Endproduktfertigung beim Kunden kümmert. Zusätzlich liefert das Göttinger Werk fließgepresste Flaschen Kartuschen und Gehäuse für die Automobil- und Bauindustrie die Pharma- Lebensmittel- und Chemieindustrie. Novelis engagiert sich für die lokale Gemeinschaft und arbeitet in zahlreichen Kooperationen unter anderem mit Schulen zusammen um den Mathematik- und Naturwissenschaftsunterricht sowie Robotik-Wettbewerbe und -Workshops zu fördern.
